Enabling the hidden panel ...

In order to publish the hidden panel on your site all you need to do is publish any module to the 'cpanel' position. In the template admin you can also change the time that the panel takes to open.

Vision2 comes loaded with an inbuilt slider which means that you dont need to intall any extra modules onto your site in order to get the popular sliding behaviour that is very popular in webdesign at the moment. There are a total of 9 sliding positions available and they are easily implemented.

The slider is controlled by the index.php file in Joomla 1.0 or in the template parameters in Joomla 1.5. You have full control over the speed of the slider as well as the titles of the buttons that triger the slide.

The slider will automatically appear on the page if you publish any module to the Slide 1 to 9 module positions. eg slide1  You might notice that Slide1 is not a normal module position in Joomla. The beauty of the Joomla 1.5 templating architecture is that this doesnt really matter as the template will tell Joomla that it exists anyway - so you can just go ahead and select it from the module list dropdown in the module admin. In Joomla 1.0 you need to do an extra step to  set this up.

To setup extra module positions in Joomla 1.0 - navigate to  Site --> Templates --> Module Positions. You should see this screen:

In a spare module position type the names of the slide module positions you want to use. Its probably quickest to add all 9 just in case you need to use more slides at a later date. Enter the details in the exact manner as you can see below:
